RAZOR-SHARP AND READY TO STRIKE.

The minimalist fairing has sleek lines and frames the overlapping hexagonal LED headlight, creating a compact front end with bold, innovative shapes. These taut, sleek lines find continuity in the fuel tank, increasing the sense of dynamism and muscular strength of the whole.

With its aggressive appearance as an authentic street-fighter, the GSX-S1000 hints at a huge potential in performance while showing maniacal attention to technical details as a prelude to an extraordinary riding experience.

CHASSIS DESIGNED FOR INTENSE PLEASURE

One look at the chassis design is enough to guess how agile, enjoyable and fun to ride the GSX-S1000 is. Every element is an expression of a design that aims to offer great handling and total control, in urban stretches as well as on mixed mountain trails or when you take the bike between the curbs of a track.

The chassis package is compact and lightweight, making the GSX-S1000 incredibly agile, predictable, and posed for a large-displacement high-performance sports car.

The aluminium twin-tube frame helps ensure exceptional handling and excellent road holding, while straight main sections are ideal for combining high rigidity with low weight. The picture is completed by an aluminium alloy swingarm firmly anchored to the frame, which further contributes to high road-holding ability and mastery of every situation.

AN ENGINE READY TO DOMINATE THE ROADS

The GSX-S1000 delivers an outstanding riding experience and is the ideal naked sports bike for getting around on any road. The high-performance 999cc DOHC inline-four engine is liquid-cooled and inherits DNA from a lineage of winning superbikes.

This street-oriented powertrain boasts an architecture that draws on the experience gained over the decades of developing the GSX-R1000 to win countless races and is based on advanced technology developed for MotoGP racing.

Its performance has been refined in every respect. Maximum power has been increased and power delivery has been tightened up in the low and mid-range range, the range most used in everyday riding. The torque diagram is now wider and smoother, the total amount of torque delivered is greater and the power output is always plenty, with a particular brilliance in the mid and high rpm range. And all this while meeting Euro 5 emission standards.
